Hello, I’m Chris
Licensed Art Therapist and Counselor, Board Certified Art Therapist, Approved Supervisor, Doctoral Candidate
Healing is not a one-size-fits-all process.
Chris believes that healing thrives in spaces where creativity and connection meet. Through art, conversation, and collaboration, she helps clients explore their stories, discover inner strength, and embrace growth with compassion and authenticity. Whether through color, words, or quiet reflection, Chris invites each person to feel seen, heard, and empowered on their journey.
Meet Chris
Chris is an experienced art therapist and counselor dedicated to providing a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment. Practicing in Maryland since 2020, she has worked with individuals of all ages across a range of settings, including hospitals, trauma clinics, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, and community mental health centers.
Taking a holistic and client-centered approach to mental health, Chris integrates traditional counseling techniques with the creative process to help clients explore their conscious and unconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Through art making, she supports individuals in processing and communicating emotions, strengthening coping skills, and reconnecting with their sense of self.
Chris earned her Master’s degree in Art Therapy from The George Washington University and her Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from Goucher College. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Art Therapist (LCPAT) and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland, as well as a nationally registered and board-certified art therapist (ATR-BC).

Trauma can leave lasting imprints on the body and mind, shaping how we see ourselves and the world around us. Healing from trauma isn't about forgetting; it's about learning to live fully again in the present, with greater compassion for yourself. I provide trauma-informed art therapy and counseling in Maryland, using creative and somatic approaches to help you gently process the past and rebuild a sense of safety. Through trauma-informed and creative approaches, we work together to gently process what’s been held inside, rebuild a sense of safety, and reconnect with your strength and resilience.

A career in the military or the helping professions offers a unique intersection of profound rewards and significant, multi-domain challenges. While these roles are anchored by a powerful sense of purpose, they also expose individuals to chronic operational stress and secondary trauma. Left unmanaged, these stressors can permeate every aspect of life, potentially leading to compassion fatigue, vicarious traumatization, or burnout.
